The Accountable Person as defined by the Building Safety Act 2022
This website is an on-line information resource for people who assume the dutyholder role the accountable person, as defined by Section 72 of the Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA).
The purpose of this web site is to consolidate and publish helpful links to the mass of information that is being published concerning the implementation of the Building Safety Act and the changes to the Fire Safety Order.
We do not capture or collect any personal information about those who visit this site. We do not expect to engage with the users of this web site in the ordinary course of events. We will not use this website to gain direct, or indirect, advertising revenue.
We maintain this site simply because it is a convenient knowledge base we use in our work. We anticipate other people may will find it equally useful. So, please feel free to use it.
Figure 1 is timeline comparison of the current legislation and guidance that applies to the roles of both the accountable and responsible persons. The importance of knowing what duties each role carries is an essential part of risk managing being one of them.
